FAST has been designed to be modular. Each component of the processing pipeline is associated with a separate GUI, designed to provide users with the information necessary to effectively choose analytical parameters. These interact with each other as shown below:

This modular design allows users to extract useful information as the output of each stage, as well as modify the outputs to perform specific analyses in later modules; examples of these workflows can be found on the advanced usage page. However, the majority of this tutorial will be devoted a basic workflow, in which an input image is processed only using the tools available within the FAST GUI.
